I’ve learned new workflows for processing my RAW image files. Subsequently, I’ve returned to some of my old shots to see what I can bring out in them. What I thought were mediocre shots before, turned out to have some hidden detail that just needed the right treatment to become a great photo.
We visited one of the historical gardens of Hiroshima last year and it was Sakura time. A celebrated and much-loved time of the year for the Japanese. There were multiple bridal parties having photos taken in traditional garb and I managed to get in on the action.
No theme. No reason. Just gotta get the ball rolling again. Been taking lots of photos, just not posting them here. Naughty naughty.
I’m quite happy with this shot. Was able to catch the reflection of the building across the road, with bus driving past, in Ken’s bright eyes. Hasn’t he got wonderful skin?
Hi people sorry for the extended hiatus, I’ve had some stuff going but it’s all sorted now!
I was walking back to work a while ago after lunch and I spotted this lovely young couple sitting on a bench. I loved the young girls body language so I snapped a shot. I’ve been trying to get into the other side of street photography, candids as well as the stranger portraits that I do.
This shot has also been a bit of an experiment for me in editing. I felt the loving/sweet tone set by the girl suited an old timey/desaturated look. I hope you agree with me
Found an empty lot near my place of work on one of my mid-lunch strolls. Place was completely overgrown with weeds and brush.
Happened to notice a snail having a rest in the sun. I felt like having a snooze too.
*Shot on my new EF 85mm f/1.8 USM. So far so good. Colour and Detail might be as good, if not better, as my Voigtlander 40mm f/2.
